Application of optical reflectometer for monitoring corrosion process

چکیده
In this work, a corrosion sensor based on an optical time domain reflectometer was presented. The first with bare tip used to measure the process of silica glass fiber. Another deposited silver layer for monitoring in nitric acid. both cases, reflectance at end fiber decreasing immersion time. Thus we can describe stage by level fresnel reflectance. maximum sensitivities analyzed sensors were as follows: 0.7dB/min (3% HF solution) 0.15dB/h (5%HNO3 Results showed that all cases wasn’t fully linear, and reactions began almost instantly after immersing tested corrosive environments.
